TPot and I have a tradition of watching the American Idol results show together after I get home on Wednesday nights. We both refuse to find out who got booted until then so we can find out together. I know, romantic, huh? But tonight I was had by a teaser on Yahoo. It said "IDOL SHOCKER?" and I couldn't resist. I clicked through and learned that in fact there was no Idol Shocker and Syesha was voted off. Well. I fell for the ploy and clicked through and now I know who got voted off. I know, I have only myself to blame for falling for ti but don't ya hate when they do that?

[1]What do babies and cats think about our breath? Every morning I wake up and kiss Natty on the head and Stevie talks to her. I don't talk to her cuz I got morning breath. I say, just because she can't say anything doesn't mean she likes it.

I thought it was so funny when my friend's son learned how to say something smelled bad. He would look at you and say, "stinks in my nose." I wonder if when Natty learns to talk will she say that when we greet her in the morning.

Too bad for the cats though. They'll never learn to say, "stinks in my nose." I guess they better get used to our stinky morning breath in their face. Hahahaha suckers!

Okay, so that's a little Homer Simpson of me, but I missed it so much! Hey, don't judge me. Its not weird to miss a beer. Is it?
Anywhoo...my 2 brother in-laws both work for Abita and everytime I've seen them since January I've been bugging them about getting me some Wheat. It finally paid off on Sunday when brother-in-law Sean (he's the cute brother...and I'm including my husband in that assessment...hey, don't judge me on that either) gave me a case of Wheat. Yay! And it's as good as I remember.
And the best part is the Wheat pub crawl is this Friday night and starts just a few blocks from the radio station. Which means I can leave my car at work and just walk on over. Yay again! I've been recruiting my friends to go with me all week...and the cool friends are in. Are you going?? Here's the details at this page: http://abita.com/party/party_pubcrawl.html

[1]I do a lot of thinking when I'm in my car al0ne. Tonight I had a thought, if squirrels are so fast how do they get hit by cars? I was riding down the street and there was a dead squirrel and I said to myself, "you weren't fast enough buddy." Maybe the reason why he couldn't get out of the way was because he was sick and feeble. It's nature's way of getting rid of the weak. Well, maybe not nature's way since it was a car that hit the squirrel.

t's a mystery that will probably never be solved.

***I don't know that guy, I just thought this was a funny pic. They had other dead squirrel pictures but I like this one because of his pretty hat. I'm sorry if you're 9 and this freaked you out, or if you love squirrels long time.

Is anyone else not that excited about the new Indiana Jones movie? I know, sacrilege, and I'm an Indiana Jones fan! First of all, the first three movies told pretty much the whole story, what else is there to tell. The last one even gave us a little history about young Indiana Jones. AND it was called the LAST crusade. I guess the title referred to them finding the Grail so no more holy wars were needed, but at least the suggestion that that was the last movie was there.

Secondly, Harrison Ford is like 62, he's almost a senior citizen, what can we expect from the old man in this movie that he hasn't already done in the previous ones? I guess that daring wheelchair lagoon chase is still a possibility. Ya gotta figure Shia Leboef is gonna do most of the heavy lifting in this movie, I hope Sean Connery doesn't come back and make poor old Indy look bad. Somehow that guy is just timeless.

Finally, the title is crap. The first 3 had cool or at least passable titles: Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, tell me more... but this one is called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Why do I feel like Spielberg and Lucas were playing Drunk Mad Libs when they came up with that title. "Okay, give me a noun" "Dog" "No something good" "Skull" "Okay what kind of skull?" "Bony" "What? Bony? No, something that makes less sense, don't you know how to play this game?" "Oh okay, Crystal." "Crystal Skull! Badass! That makes no sense at all!"

Sorry, I'm not sold. I'll wait for it to come on Showtime.

[1]This is Wendee. She is my best friend, but I'm gonna need a new one. She has to go out of town to an in-law's wedding on the weekend of May 30th. Yep...the same weekend that Sex & the City is opening. So I have to decide between her and the movie. Well duh. Movie it is. Wendee is dead to me.

So I know that doesn't make me sound like a great friend, but come on. It's SJP and the girls. You would totally do it too. -Annette

Okay first the movie 21, based on the true story of an Asian guy who joins a group of student card counters who take Vegas for millions, comes out. For that movie they changed the Asian main character to a white guy presumably because Hollywood doesn't think Americans will go see a movie about an Asian.

Now Speed Racer comes out. It's based on the English version of a Japanese anime cartoon. But the English version didn't change the anime, Speed Racer is still Japanese! But for the movie? Nope, they made Speed Racer a white kid. Am I missing something? Is it now okay to whiten characters in story adaptations to try to make it sell a little more? Would Americans really not go see a movie because an Asian is the main character? Is Hollywood being racist or is it just me?
