Claudia Opdenkelder first came up with the idea for a Cougar dating site after winning a Ms. Cougar radio competition back in 2006. After two years of development, Cougarlife.com officially launched on February 14, 2009. The little site that she created out of her home soon took off and in just 8 months has over 50,000 members across North America. A serial entrepreneur, Claudia first cut her teeth in the business world as the owner of a modeling/talent agency called Professional Promotions - a company she is still actively involved in. I tune in to your show Kim when I am coming home from the gym. I am a cougar. I was not able to listen to the rest of your show. But one important thing I would like to mention and I don’t believe it was talked about. For me, a divorced cougar of two grown children now, I am not interested in the same things that my younger counterparts are, marriage and family. I have been married and have my kids, and now I am a “career” woman and taking care of myself. I don’t feel I need a man, but most important, I don’t want to get married again. Or I am still not ready enough to want to marry again. I have been single for 11 years now and I am happy with my life as it is now. Yes, I am seeing a cub, but not that many years differance in age. I don’t like change, and it is easier to keep the status quo for now.
