Doesn’t seem possible it’s been 6 months since I moved to Foster City, but it has been that long. I’ve decided to make the move from Foster City to Lafayette. I’ve decided to save some money and move to a less expensive apartment. In times like these, it seems like everyone is making moves and trying to save money any way we can. I’m happy to say I really like the apartment complex I’ve picked out in Lafayette, it’s a little smaller than the oneĀ had in Foster City but it’s a $1,000.00 cheaper a month!! So, sometimes it pays to make the move. How about you? What have you done to try to save money during these hard, trying times? I’s love to hear from you. Please feel free to blog here and share.
Until Next Time,
Much Love,
Nikki

Being a Mom too for 14 years has taught me to be thrifty. I pay $1,100 for a one bedroom in a small SF building yet every payday can put money in the kid’s bank account. I use coupon’s on Safeways BOGO sale days, cook large and get creative with leftovers the next day or two, make my own lunch for work, iron my own work clothes and do laundry every two weeks. There’s more, but I’m blushing already thinking what a good housewife I can be. Anyone interested! LOL!

Jerry,
Love how you are being thrifty! One thing I like to do is go to Subway and get their $5.00 foot long subs..I know it sounds crazy but when you have friends over you can cut then in slices and they make great snacks. I also, have decided NOT to go to the dry cleaners, instead I do my own laundry. My mom taught me if your shampoo gets low, to just add water to it to make it stretch, I’ve learned that my dogs do not need to eat 2 times a day but once a day and they can have treats throughout the day, so I’ve cut my dog food bill almost in half. I’m going to be taking BART now so I’ll save on gas, toll charges and save the mileage on my SUV.
I keep finding ways to cut costs, and it has actually become a great challenge for me which I enjoy. It’s almost like a game to me..I actually like it.
Anyone else conserving? Blog it here!
