Hi Nikki,

I want to shout (quietly) out to a wonderful lady that I had emailed a few weeks ago on a meeting site. Yes, a on-line meeting site, what has us 40 something age come to???? This Georgous lady wrote about how hard it is to date these days at the 40 year mark. I will say that is a two way street here. She wrote little hints about her and that she wasn’t looking for anyone to steal her stage. My hopes are that this Lady will read your Blog and go to the site and read the second Hello. If she does and has the interest in meeting I have 2 49er’s tickets on October 12th Lower reserved level for a first date. This will be a good place and why not cheer our team on. Look forward to hearing from you!!!!!

I have no ides why I am writing this on here other than to get it off my chest. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years and am finding it very difficult to move on. Granted, it’s only been a couple weeks, but it is MUCH harder than I thought it would be. I miss him. What’s difficult is that I moved to the Bay Area about a year ago to be with him and I don’t know very many people here. All of my friends are back home and talking on the phone just isn’t the same as having someone to sit with (and cry to). Anyway, things are tough right now…I guess that’s all I have to say.

Jen,

Trust me I can certainly understand your situation. If you have a chance check out my blog titled “Unconditionally Conditional”. I was going through the same exact thing as you. My (ex)guy lives 3500 miles away and doesn’t want to date someone who lives that far away or any distance from him. I cried for days when we broke up, I begged him not to break up with me, I even thought about leaving here (see my blog Mike Vs. Mike). I was ready to do whatever it was to not have this relationship end….why? Because I thought he was “The ONE” and ya know what? He may be…just not right now.

Something happened (and I’m not sure what) but something inside me clicked and said (ya know…if he wants YOU than he’s going to have to earn YOU.) I’d say don’t sell yourself short, like I was going to. Be strong for yourself and remember this may suck what you’re going through, but know in the end he’s doing YOU a favor…and one day you’ll return the favor…..by BEING HAPPY!!

So, with that said, get happy girl, get a hold of yourself and treat yourself to some quiet time with a candle and just be with YOU! I’ve always said if I can’t love myself than no-one will. Go Love yourself, enjoy being with YOU and then you can realize what he’s missing…because trust me….HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT HE’S MISSING!

Hello there,
Jen, just hang out with the Wolf fans and you will find plenty of people in the bay. I have met a few good people attending some of the events they put on. I can say now that I have friends in the bay area. I moved here well, 5 years ago and thought by now that I would have plenty of people I can call friends. Give it time and you will be able to make it in your next chapter.
Actually, about three years ago I was with a guy that I thought was the one. We only been with eachother under a year but I had that feeling. He broke it off with me and I didn’t turn to drinking, parting or anything. I just stayed at home crying why. But than I wanted to get away and find myself so, I called up a friend and we took a cruise, haha. I think for me that was the best thing I could do for myself. It gave me time to think, but also away from the phone so couldn’t call him. I think in time you will see that you do need to look at this one chapter in your life and in time you will be able to find that one. It usually doesn’t happen over night but if it was ment to be, it would have worked out. I have been waiting a long time now, haha, but I sort of like finding myself during this time.
Well, I better cut this message short but I do think that you took that step a year ago to be with him and it didn’t work that you do need to take this time and ask what you need to make you happy. I think its always easier to tell someone else these things. But reading what Nikki wrote just coming off a relationship, I think its awesome that she is staying here for now. Don’t cut yourself short for sure. Life is to short.
Maybe I will see ya at an event down the road. :)

I always end up writing a big comment but it really doesn’t seem like it would be that long until it pops up. :)

Its that time of year again. Its all quite than a big loud sound comes and goes. Its FLEET WEEK again everyone.
Jen, this weekend hang out in the city all the ships are coming in for Fleet Week, haha. I will be around with friends of mine checking out things if you know what I mean. Its an awesome time here in the city.

Anyone else going to come into the city to watch the air show?

#10 Nikki UNITED STATES on 10.06.08 at 6:44 pm

Shelee,

Great advice to Jen! I do hope she is doing better. Jen if you can, check in with us and let us know how you’re doing. Shelee, had some great things to say and going a cruise sounds wonderful. Perhaps a single’s cruise for us ladies is in store? Or, even better yet, like Shelee said, it’s Fleet week and lots of people around so we could make new friends. I actually have a friend of mine flying in on Thursday until Sunday and maybe we could all hang out together. He’s really cool and who knows maybe we can all have a agreat time. He’s a comdian and a lawyer so a t least we will laugh and if we get in trouble he can help bail us out….lol.

Anyway, thanks for posting on my blog. I enjoy reading comments and I also love talking back with you, s o keep the posts coming!

Until Next Time,.
Much Love,
Nikki

i would like to vent a little…. My daughter is a senior in high school this year and oh my gosh the money I have had to put out and it has just started! 100’s for portraits, the dance tickets, limo to the dance ( with a few more to come still) dress & more to come plus the senior trip. With the economy the way it is doesn’t the schools understand? What about the parents who lost jobs and can’t afford to send their kids to the dances and trips or pay for pictures? My daughter wants to donate her dresses fromthe previous dances to any girls who cannot afford a nice dress for one dance. She has a few and they are all beautiful . She is a size 1-3 so if you know anyone I would be happy to give them some dresses. I live in American Canyon and work in Hayward. E-mail me and let me know.
Thanks Krys

Hi Nikki !
This is the first time I’ve tried to blog and I wanted to thank you for the wonderful music and for being so upbeat and possitive toward your listeners !!! I have one request and one small problem. The request is for your great station to play more of the older country music ( from 1980’s on forward ) with out suggesting we all buy a HD radio !!! I cannot afford it at this time but would love to hear some of the oldies !!. The problem is that everytime I get an e-mail about signing up for free goodies from THE WOLF, I am unable to get into the site !!!! I don’t know what’s causing it as my computer is fine otherwise !! Maybe it’s the operator !!!

Thank you for all you ( all ) do at THE WOLF !!
Karen

To Krys,

Channek 5 runs a story on these folks yearly- http://www.princessproject.org. My girl just started college, and coming from a charter school, was able to buy and keep a more useable dress for other
occasions. I heartily applaud your spirit and would say check them out. You get to see it do good.

Respectfully,
Jerry Lints
