Former 49ers Offensive Coordinator Hired By the Bears
Mike Martz has finally found new work after the 49ers cut him loose. He’s now the Offensive Coordinator for the Chicago Bears. Matt Forte better prepare to have his running numbers nose dive, as Martz likes the long ball, which may or may not bode well for Jay Cutler. He needs protection to have those long plays develop as well, something the 49ers couldn’t provide when Martz was in San Francisco. Lovie Smith and Martz do have a good relationship though, as they worked together in St. Louis.
