Throughout the year, the Denver Rescue Mission provides shelter, food, clothing, education, Christian teaching, and work discipline to meet individuals at their physical and spiritual points of need. This April, KOSI 101.1 and 99. 5 The Mountain teamed up to assist the Denver Rescue Mission in food collection and fundraising efforts.
KOSI 101 and 99.5 The Mountain used on-air, on-site and on-line to encourage our listeners to go on-line to make a monetary donation. (Link to DRM donation page along with link for Auction page)
All four of the Entercom stations (KALC, KOSI, KEZW & KQMT) announced the kick off of April Food Month with an on-air interview with Chris “The Birdman” Anderson and Kyle Orton.
Through out the month, the campaign promoted listeners going to the station web sites to click on the Denver Rescue Banner Ad – or to go to each stations charity pages to learn more about how they can make a cash donation and bid on Auction Items.
Stations helped DRM set up their on-line auction and link directly to the site. Stations secured items for auction and facilitated the distribution of the winning items when the auction closed
The entire event culminated on April 30th with a final donation event at Sam’s Club.
For the three days prior to the final event, both sites had a walk-on video by Denver Rescue Mission advocate Chris “The Birdman” Anderson and Klyle Orton promoting cash & food donations along with promotion of the auction items. The campaign was endorsed by Mr. Anderson and Kyle Orton as well as promoted through on-air interviews on KOSI 101, 99.5 The Mountain and Studio 1430AM KEZW.
