KOSI 101 partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of Denver for the 3rd annual radiothon. With 2 Houses to operate in this community, Colorado embraced this partnership to support fundraising efforts of both Ronald McDonald House locations in Denver and Aurora.
This past November, KOSI 101 broadcasted live from The Rocky Mountain Hosptial for Children at Presbyterian St. Lukes from 6am to 7pm asking its loyal listeners for generous donations to help fund the Ronald McDonald House which houses families of children affected by illness and disease.
Leading up to the 3rd Annual Ronald McDonald House Radiothon, Touchstone Energy Cooperative aired :60 second vignette campaigns in Denver as well as the markets they serve featuring families that have personally been supported by the Denver Ronald McDonald Houses. These families were from the areas Touchstone serves. This showcased how Touchstone Energy supports their customers when they need it the most. All messages encouraged people to listen to the Radiothon on November 16th to learn how they can help.
During the Radiothon:
Touchstone Energy had a unique opportunity to sponsor the official KOSI Radiothon Banner that hangs outside the Ronald McDonald House visible to the thousands of passers by on I-225. The banner included the Touchstone Energy logo.
Additionally, Touchstone Energy sponsored a “Power Hour” during the Radiothon. The goal was to “light up the phones” and meet a specific donation goal within the specified hour.
