Entercom and Sam’s Club created awareness for the need for donations for our troops through Operation ShoeBox. Entercom Denver and Sam’s Club worked together with key vendors to send support, snacks and much needed personal care items to our troops deployed outside of the USA. Through the two week “Items they Need, Support they Deserve” Program, 99.5 The Mountain and Studio 1430 encouraged listeners to pick up a few extra items as they shopped at their local Sam’s Club that were sent directly to our troops. Listeners dropped their donations in the collection bins provided at participating Sam’s Club stores throughout the two designated weeks/weekends. The campaign included on-site events that encouraged excitement and donations on the two key weekends. 99.5 The Mountain and Studio 1430 held simultaneous broadcasts/remotes, to highlight the campaign and do a big push for donations to Operation ShoeBox. Together these stations reached 556,000 adults 18+ with “Operation Shoe Box”, which is more than 25% of ALL adults 18+ in the market!
