Meanwhile…while social networking…
It’s fun when people, who have not seen you in a while, post comments about your facebook or myspace pictures. Comments like “eat a cheeseburger” or “dang! How’d you get so skinny”. I find myself not posting old (fatter) pictures of myself. As if I outgrew those pictures like I have some of my clothes. I’m not ashamed, it just feels like I’m in a new chapter in my life and that it’s time to pack those old pictures away and make room for the new ones. Unlike my clothes…I cant sell them at a garage sale.
(Who would by a picture of me sitting at a picnic table smoking a cigar anyway?)
We were all ready to start working on kid #2, when all of the sudden, the Doctors told us to hold up. It’s not me. I’m perfectly medically sound and able to do what it takes to make a baby! I’m ready at moments notice! Anytime and anyplace! Which irritates the wife! I’m not at all subtle in my approach! lol Christal has been dealing with gall stones almost her whole life. Her mother, grandmother and sister in law have all had their gall bladders removed over the years. It seems that she’ll be going through the procedure as well. She’s fine-The Docs just think it would be best if she were to go ahead and get it done, opposed to something bad happening while she is pregnant. She goes in for her consultation on Thursday and then sometime over the next few weeks she’ll get it removed. We’ve been told that we would be good to go to resume baby making a few weeks later.
I had a visit with Dr Messer the other day to take a look at all my blood work. Overall, I’m in pretty awesome health. My cholesterol is pretty kick butt. There’s just one little tweak that Dr. Messer wants to see in my levels. Something to do with some mathematic equation and my type 2 diabetes. In short, for the next 90 days, I’ve be taking TRILIPIX. It sucks that at 33 I have to be on some prescription drug for my blood. I always assumed that is something old people had to do….not a young sexy fella like myself (wink). Wish me luck that I wont have to be strapped to this stuff for the rest of my life. Fingers crossed that it’s only for 90 days.
Stay tuned….I’ll be working on a few new videos for the page. One of my crazy workouts DJ Johnson at ASI in Simpsonville and the other with Renee King of the life center and my BMI measurements.
Oh yeah and check out www.activateupstate.org There’s some cool free things that the Greenville Hospital System is doing.
