I’m too social!
It’s hard to keep up with all the social networking these days! I have myspace, facebook and I just joined twitter. We have these emails blogs, our website blogs, listener and business emails, the blog I do for www.chaseschallenge.com (the one you are reading) and the text messaging that we all do in the studio while we are on the air. At some point, I’m going to stop talking to people all together and just correspond by blogging and commenting on blogs. If it wasn’t for my show every day, I might never talk to anyone! As soon as my 2 year old daughter can type, she and I will keep in touch with twitter! “Erin is having a tea party with her bunny and blanket today…”Erin is eating an oatmeal cookie and planning on taking a nap around 2pm”. HA!
I’m just glad my parents fear all technology! They live out in the middle of nowhere, have 5 TV channels to choose from and don’t know how to turn on a computer. Every Sunday I call them and have an actual conversation. It’s nice. So do yourself a favor today; walk over to the office 10 feet away from you and actually talk to a co-worker that you’d normally email (it will burn at least 4-5 calories). Have an actual conversation that consists of real words and not shortened versions of them. (OMG!)
Also, you don’t leave a paper trail when you say something mean opposed to emailing or texting it!
