Houston…we have no pants!

I have no pants….my jeans don’t fit anymore.  It’s a shame, I had some nice jeans.  They will be a sweet find for someone at our next garage sale.  I’m now forced into wearing my fancy clothes or shorts.  (If you know me-you know I’m wearing shorts!)

I now have a “fat section” to my closet.  A little different from the old “fat section”.  I used to put clothes that no longer fit me, in the corner of the closet.  This was in hopes that I could one day wear them again.  I have now replaced those clothes that are too big for me.  It’s pretty crazy.  Also, I used to hate shopping for clothes, but now its pretty cool.  It’s nice to try on stuff and have it be too big.  Better for the ego for sure.  As I continue to lose weight, it looks like I’ll be buying a whole new wardrobe for our trip to Disney World.  The only negative of that is the expense….uggg.

As far as the diabetes…

It looks like I’ve been able to keep my blood sugar levels under control.  The other day I went to Red Robbin and had a burger with fries.   MAN THEY TASTED AWESOME!  I havent had fries in about 8 weeks, so it was a pretty big deal.  All the excitement and enjoyment came to a screaching halt when I tested my blood sugar an hour later and found that I had shot up to 160!  Note to self-French fries are not good for my blood sugar!  Everything went back to normal after two hours, but it’s something I need to watch pretty much for the rest of my life.  Lunch also put me over in calories that day, but I wasnt as worried about that.

So in short:

Having no pants to wear….good

Buying new clothes….good (but expensive)

French fries…good….but really really bad!
